Welcome to the website for the Department of Criminal Justice Education and Training at Napa Valley College. We offer two-years degrees in the Administration of Justice and five different certificate programs all designed to prepare students for a career in the criminal justice system.
Some of the careers our programs support include police officer, deputy sheriff, probation officer, 9-1-1 dispatcher, community service officer, crime scene evidence technician, victim/witness advocate, and more.
We are proud to partner with National University to offer students a 4-year degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Students who graduate from Napa Valley College with a 2-year degree and enter National University are eligible for a significant tuition discount. Classes are available fully online or in-person.
We also offer a select number of in-service law enforcement training classes certified by our partners at the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training. Most of these classes are open only to working law enforcement professionals and require completion of the Basic Police Academy.
Napa Valley College is not currently offering the P.O.S.T. Basic Law Enforcement Academy, Requalification course, 832PC Arrest course, or Adult Corrections Academy. These programs may be offered at some time in the future.
