Schedule Of Classes

We are currently offering a limited selection of classes while the general operation of the Criminal Justice Training Center is suspended.  The Basic Police Academy, Requalification Course, 832PC Arrest Course, and Corrections Academy will not be available until further notice.

Except for the Basic Dispatcher Course, registration for classes can be completed entirely online 24/7 using links on this page. Invoicing for course fees is not available and all fees must be paid in full using a credit card.

Classes that are under enrolled with be canceled 30 days prior to the start of class and course fees will be automatically refunded.

Current COVID-19 Protocols

 

Effective January 1, 2022, NVC requires any student taking in-person classes or accessing in-person services on campus must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All students are required to submit proof of vaccination before attending class. For the Basic Dispatch course, proof of vaccination is handled via the normal registration process.  For all other in-service law enforcement classes, students must use the special QR code or URL to submit their proof of vaccination.  Click Here To Learn More And Access The QR Code.  Registering for an in-person class also constitutes your permission for checking your vaccination record against state public health databases. Proof of vaccination is NOT required for fully online classes.

The Basic Dispatcher Course is open to all students. Sponsored students are those people currently employed by a public safety agency. Non-sponsored students are those people putting themselves through the course or who are not currently employed by a public safety agency.

For this course, ALL STUDENTS (sponsored and non-sponsored) must be currently admitted to Napa Valley College. If you have not taken a credit course at Napa Valley College within the last 3 years, you must first complete the CCC Apply Admissions Application. Be sure to write down your issued student email address and student ID number as you will need it to complete the registration process.

Non-sponsored students my register and pay course fees using the normal college registration process via MyNVC.  Sponsored students may register using the MyNVC link OR by completing a Credit Registration form and mailing it with a check for the full amount of the course tuition. Fee-Based Classes

The following classes are open to sponsored students currently employed by a law enforcement agency.  Most classes require that students have at least completed the Basic Police Academy or equivalent.

To view and download a course flier, click on the course title.  To register for a class, click on the course date you wish. When the Eventbrite page appears, click the green “Tickets” box, enter the number of seats you wish to pay for and then click the red “Check Out” button at the bottom of the page to complete processing your payment.

Course fees can be paid via Eventbrite by credit card only. Invoicing is no longer available. Payment in full by credit card is required to reserve a seat.  Fees become non-refundable 30 days prior to the start of the class. Refunds will include the class cost less the Eventbrite fees (which consists of the payment processing fee and the service fee combined).
